Good Restaurants in Gurgaon to get your Korean Fix
With the rising popularity of K-pop and K-dramas in India, it is essential to know the top restaurants in Gurgaon for Korean food. With its wide variety of flavours, and intriguing dishes, it truly is a special cuisine with a special place in my heart. And with the rising Korean population in Gurgaon, some exciting options are present for lovers of its food. With this in mind I tried the top restaurants in Gurgaon with Korean food near me.
Without further ado, here are my top restaurants in Gurgaon for Korean food:
Best Korean Restaurant in Gurgaon -Midam
This has to be my absolute top choice for Korean food in Gurgaon. The ambience is fantastic, from being ushered to your own personal booth (which you can smoke in!) complete with a BBQ pit in the centre of your table. The smells of fish and spices engulf your senses while you sip on some ice cold Soju.
Whenever I come here I need to indulge in the Korean BBQ which is especially fun when dining with others, as the collaborative nature of the cooking experience can be felt. The accompaniments are tasty as well, with the lotus root dish being a crunchy, sweet and savoury delight. I often do the Wagyu or pork Korean BBQ, and love to smother the red bean paste on the meat which just gives it an extra dimension of tastiness.
The gimbap (a Korean version of sushi) is quite nice, while the kimchi pancakes are tasty. This is one of the good restaurants in Gurgaon to go for a date or for a nice family evening, as long as your company is into trying new things!
We also tried some braised pork which was a great sweet and savoury heaping of pork that went great with steamed rice.

Best Lunch Places in Gurgaon-Hahn’s Kitchen
While I have both dined in and order from Hahn’s Kitchen, each experience was memorable in its own way. One of the top restaurants in Gurgaon and a Lite Bite venture, it is on the pricier side, although most Korean food restaurants cost upwards of 2000 INR per head. I ordered the Bossam Dosirak which is a set meal that comprises braised pork, steamed rice and several accompaniments. I live for the Korean accompaniments which included spicy cabbage, pickled veggies and a potato dish.
I also tried their Tteokbokki which is a dish made with rice cakes and fish cakes in a spicy Gochujang gravy. This is a great dish to have if you are a fan of sweet and spicy- it can be a bit heavy so it’s always a good choice to share it.

Best Restaurants in Gurgaon for Dinner -Chungdam Premium Korean Restaurant
This was a place my boyfriend and I decided to check out one night because I saw it served shabu shabu and I had a craving for it! Located in an inconspicuous mall, this is a spacious restaurant with private booths (this is one thing I love about most Korean restaurants!) and solves the problem of where can couples go for privacy in Gurugram. We ordered the mixed meat shabu shabu which was served with crab, beef and two types of broth- a spicier one, perfect for me and a milder one which my boyfriend preferred. The shabu shabu was aromatic and filled with tasty squid and crab, amongst other ingredients.
We also ordered the grilled beef tongue which had a hearty flavour and a chewy texture. Pro tip- when you go to these restaurants a large number of items are not translated into English in the menu but don’t be afraid to ask one of the servers for help.

Best Family Restaurants in Gurgaon-Gung the Palace
A staple of Korean food dining and one of the top restaurants in Gurgaon, Gung is the big daddy of K-food in Delhi NCR. The ambience was lovely as always, but there was some strange hindi music playing which put me off slightly (demands of the usual crowd that is in Sector 29 I suppose). Other than that the meal was perfection as always.
We started off with the steak tartare which was refreshing. A tartare is a type of dish usually made with finely chopped raw meat or fish that is seasoned with various herbs, spices, and other ingredients. The fat and sinew has been removed from the meat, and it is usually served with mayo or raw egg to bind it. Served raw and cold, there were a sauce that helped us balance the dish. Definitely worth trying!
Our choice was the seafood casserole as the main- a steaming soup made with oodles of crab, squid, fish and more! Similar to the hot pot, this had a different spice profile and was hearty and satisfying.
We ended the meal with the bing-su, a very popular Korean dessert that consists of shaved ice, sweetened condensed milk, and a variety of toppings. The toppings on ours were red bean paste and watermelon- very refreshing and a great treat to share in summer.

Some tips:
- Make sure you dine out for Korean food with a decent budget in mind, most of the top restaurants in Gurgaon for Korean food charge upwards of 2K per head for a nice meal
- Be experimental- don’t stick to gimbap and ramen because sushi and noodles feels safe- there are some great things to discover if you open your palate up
- Do try the soju if you like drinks- make sure it is ice chilled
Have you been to some of these restaurants- what did you think? Did I miss out on some of the top restaurants in Gurgaon for Korean food? Let me know in the comments.

Korea is influencing our lives. So many people are addicted to the series and now you have shared so many places where Korean food is served. I barely tried and now I am tempted to.
You should definitely try the food- it’s a whole new flavour profile!
I like Korean food, especially khimchi. In fact, it’s quite a different taste from the other southeast asian nations. During my trip to South Korea, I ended up eating octopus as well. I would like to have soju too. Maybe I will plan a dinner at one of these restaurants soon.
Korean dishes I think you are well versed in it. All the informations you gave along with their entrie descriptions really enticed me to try out these dishes. Also, this post will be informative for many who find restaurants too with these dishes. The part you wrote about k-dramas is really true and now come these famous dishes.
We usually avoid Korean food because of my daughter’s allergies. I will surely check out these restaurants when we visit Gurgaon next time. Maybe they have nut-free options.
Yumm….I am addicted to the series and love to try specially soju and korean Ramen. But you have provided so many list. My mouth is watering. Please make a post where I would get it in Mumbai.
I am a passionate cook who love to try many dishes at home and equally interested to enjoy some sumptuous dishes at some of the good restaurants of the nation. I will love to explore the Korean dishes in the restaurants that you have mentioned in Guargoan. Gurgaon is not that far from my place and I can easily take a drive to enjoy the Korean delicacies of this restaurant. The pics you clicked of the dishes are equally attractive and gives a clear view about your photography senses. Secondly its very true that if you are looking for quality food with great ambiance at good restaurant price will be expensive and I will not mind to satisfy my taste buds once in a while. k-dramas I have not watched or read yet but will love to go for it too after reading your amazing post.
Korean food has become quite popular lately. As you said, the popularity of k-dramas and k-pop has contributed to it. I haven’t experimented with it much. Perhaps I can check out their desserts next time I am in Gurgaon.
I’m a vegetarian so most of these dishes aren’t for me. However, I’m sure my friends would like to give them a try. Quite a variety!

Don’t really have many decent or nearby Korean joints in the city I live in, so I’ll drool over your blog till then.
I never had Korean food before or visited any Korean restaurants. Food looks delicious. I will try your recommendation whenever I visit India.
Korean cuisine has recently gained popularity. As you mentioned, the popularity of k-dramas and k-pop has helped. All these recipes aren’t suitable for me because I’m a strict vegetarian. But I’m sure my pals would like to give them a shot. I will share it with them.
Unfortunately, I’m not into Korean food at all. But your write up makes it yummmmm!!:)
