As a pizza fan at par with a Ninja turtle, my top places for this evergreen favourite have changed over the years, and with new players entering the market, pizza lovers can rejoice! The sheer amount of price points and choices out there is overwhelming- much beyond your regular Dominos of yore. That’s why I’ve compiled my favourite pizza places in Delhi NCR which are stand outs in taste, quality- and in many cases, affordability. They may not be the most popular, but these five choices all boast great ingredients, innovation- and best of all, amazing pizza. Without further ado, I present (in no particular order) my best choices for pizza in Gurgaon and Delhi:

Big City Pizza

From the stalwarts of the delivery business (with Captain G’s as their banner ship), Big City Pizza delivers great tasting pizza, at any hour you could think of! They also boast some extremely spicy pizza for heat lovers like me, like the Fireball which uses El Diablo sauces to make it mouth meltingly good. Their Hot Honey pizza is my go-to because of the amazing blend of spicy and sweet. One of my top places to eat, their toppings are fresh, the packaging is great and with names like Little Joe’s Trombone, you know these guys know how to make a brand! They even curate heart shaped pizza for Valentine’s, what’s not to love. Order direct from them to get the best offers, and if you’re craving pasta, they have a great range! Need pizza at 3 AM? -These are your guys.

Pyro’s

A place I order from A LOT, Pyro’s gets props for creating delicious Neapolitan pizzas with some of the best ingredients in the market. Their Detroit style Pan Pizza is a great way to curb your pizza cravings in style. They are all about simplicity and taste, and it shows. My personal favourite pizza here is their marinara- plain and simple tangy tomato-based sauce, which they top with earthy garlic and olive oil- no cheese! Their simple yet strong flavours make it a great option when you need your latest pizza fix.

Pro Tip: Order their marinara dip if you like savoury tomato-based sauces!

DA SUSY

Home to some of the most authentic Neapolitan pizzas you could hope to taste, da Susy is a gem for pizza lovers. The owner (Susanne Di Cosimo aka ‘Susy’) is from Naples, adding to the authenticity of the product she serves. It was during covid when she switched her career path and found luck and love in curating pizzas that highlight why Naples is known for its crusty goodness. While everyone seems to be trying to make Neapolitan pizzas, Susy does it right- after all it’s in her blood!

Pro Tip: Try their Panuozzo’s which is a Naples staple- a panini like treat made with pizza dough. Da Susy’s are tasty, soul satisfying and sure to bring you back for more.

LEO’S

This is one pizza place where you should dine in and eat rather than ordering delivery to marvel at the amazing quality of their dough and the absolutely fabulous flavours of their Neapolitans. One of the most popular pizza joints for Neapolitan pizza in Delhi, it’s easy to see why it gets so much love. They are champions of our furry friends, and the name ‘Leo’s’ itself seems to be inspired by a pet dog the owner has. With bookshelves aplenty, you can sit down, grab your favourite pie and read to unwind. Their wood-fired pizzas are truly delectable and you’ll savour each slice from start to finish.

Pro Tip: Bring your pet along with you to indulge in some cheesy goodness- yes, they are dog friendly which is a big PLUS for us!

When you need variety, look no further than Nomad Pizza. Boasting pizza styles from across the globe, this brand has found great following for the sheer types of pizzas you can order, one to suit any flavour palate. Boasting pizzas from eleven regions of the world, my personal favourites are the Korean Bulgogi, the Indian flatbread and the New York style stone oven pizzas. Def a treat for those of you who like mixing up their choices.
