Part I : Before
I’m a mess,
Of my own making.
I’m distressed,
I’m no easy undertaking.
I have the best intent,
But I always fail,
As my mind goes down this descent,
It stays aware but frail
Everything I touch turns to rust,
My dreams go from gold to dust,
Some people were made for love,
Some for glory and fame,
I’ll be glad if the power above,
Let’s me die without causing more pain.
I am the queen of good intentions,
But they always seem to be in vain,
If you want to get near me,
Please refrain.
I’ll just drive you,
Insane.

Awww. I’d say, please be kind to yourself. Looking forward to part 2.
Again, I could so relate to this poem. But again I must say beautifully written.
Waw, reading tru ur poem reminded me of descendants 2 villainess character
Haha!! Sounds a lot like me sometimes! Really like this poem!
We all go through this phase sometimes. When nothing seems to be working. I am looking forward to part 2.
hmmm… I hope Part 2 is the positive side of it Meetali… n I hope it’s a fictitious poem n not about you particularly
Sometimes I do feel it. I guess everyone goes through this phase. Beautiful poem and looking for part 2.
So relatable. Sometimes it is a downward spiral when everything seems wrong. Hoping for a positive part 2.
Meetali…..I was just like what you mentioned in the poem, but now I have learnt that we should not even utter negative things. I have so much to grieve about. I lost my husband and my young son last year. But I am trying affirmations now and it is working wonders. Even if it is fictitious, please try to avoid it. Because this is what you are putting out to the universe.
Your words are true for all of us at some time or other. I am going through a similar phase where everything is a chaos. Hope to get out of it and fight through it. I am hoping your part two will be about getting out of it.
That’s beautifully written. But I really hope that this is a work of pure fiction.
